Island of Batz Lighthouse
The Ile de Batz lighthouse has been operational since 1837, and elecrified since 1939.
It is located on the western tip of the island, a 30 minutes’ walk from the port, is 44 meters high, and has 198 steps. The panoramic view from the top is specular and includes the baix of Morlaix, among others.
At the first floor of this lighthouse, you will see a museographic exhibition, “Batz with the winds” telling the story of the lighthouse, the island of Batz and his inhabitants.
For those who don’t have the courage to climb all these steps, you can still enjoy the view from the balcony, from the cockpit located on the ground floor.
